Announcing the Launch of ASSET-H&C’s Eco-Guide for Hospitality Businesses and Schools

AVI is proud to have contributed to the Burmese (Myanmar) translation of ASSET-H&C’s Eco-Guide for Hospitality Businesses and Schools. The Eco-Guide, supported by iecd, provides 55 tips and good practices to reduce tourism’s impact on the environment and has been translated into 5 different languages.

ASSET-H&C’s and AVI have been in partnership since 2019 in Myanmar. Together, we have contributed in raising awareness and have worked on embedding responsible practices within the tourism sector – from hospitality institutions, Small-and-Medium Enterprises (SMEs), community tourism as well as working with high-end hotels.

While tourism is preparing for post-COVID-19, it is crucial to join forces in making sure that sustainability in every sense will be at the heart of the recovery from the pandemic. The inclusive approach to sustainability is a component we are very proud to have been a part of, so that it is accessible to more tourism stakeholders in different countries.

AVI and the Child Safe Volunteering Hub (CSV Hub) is pleased to have supported the Eco-Guide as part of responsible tourism. The CSV Hub aims to support existing work and leadership in the promotion of child safeguarding as part of responsible tourism and volunteering practices.
